Push-button series 1683 - IP65/67 water- and dust protection


Rietheim-Weilheim, 27th January 2011 – The existing series 1683 offers now an added value with a new water- and dust protection feature. It performs with a special rubber bellow sealing for the demand to protect the switch in harsh environments against water and dust impact.
 
Beyond the series assures an attractive design and a small size for a power switch. The sealing lip on the button side of the rubber bellow keeps water and dust away to move into the device by sealing the cutout. The inside of the switch is protected through clamping of the rubber bellow between the cap and basis actuator to prevent the user against electrical shock as well as the switching system against failure through dust and water. This new feature increases the already high reliability of the standard switch and consequently the customer end device even more. The switch series 1683 convinces with a high live endurance with minimum 100,000 mechanical and 50,000 electrical switch operations under full load with the million-time proven double lifting switching system.
 
The series 1683 offers flexibility with illuminated, non illuminated, single pole or double pole as well as momentary versions and captivate in the possibility of different colors. Thereby the product designers are able to develop their end devices flexible. With the high protection class of IP 65 and IP 67 the extended series 1683 is predestinated for the use in special application in a heavily stressed environments – e.g. in the areas garden, construction, agriculture, leisure / outdoor, medical or household.
 
Typical for Marquardt is an enormous spectrum of possible electrical ratings from low voltage (max. 300 mW) with gold contacts and net power (16 A 250 V AC) to motor currents (8 A 250 V AC - ½ HP 125V – 250V AC) with silver contacts.
