Push-button switch 1680 suitable for full automatic assembly
Rietheim-Weilheim, 1st February 2011 – The pushbutton switch series 1680 from Marquardt is extended by a new innovative product version. This new switch combines the million times tried and tested double lifting contact system with 180° angled PCB terminals in a compact optimized technical design.
The new 1680 series switch can be mounted behind the PCB and actuated through hole in the PCB, allowing the customer to free the actuating element in the design at the product front. The PCB can be placed close to the front cover of the device and with the separate assembly of the switching element the related wiring is no longer necessary.
The new switch has guided PCB terminals with mechanical self-fixation in the PCB which makes the switch assembly simple and secure with a full automatic assembly of the switch now possible. After the positioning of the pushbutton switch on the PCB, integrated spring elements and barbed hooks make sure that the switch is securely placed. This avoids dislocation during the transport in the soldering line.
The new switch version is available with On/Off- and momentary function. Although the use of precious metal is reduced, the switch has a high electrical rating up to 12 (12) A 250 V AC. The switch is delivered in magazine sticks for automatic PCB assembly.
